Just few month ago Google finally launched Street View map in Lithuania. As always, there are something interesting and funny captured.
As there was quite long period of silence from us – from the begining of 2013 we decided to revive this project and change our way how news should be presented. We think, that visual content of our surroundings can tell much more than any of us can summarise in simple article.
Keeping this mind we will stay focusing on what is happening around Lithuania, just in another way. As much as we can we will try to not to be another “high-res HDR exclusive” photo blog, but rather keep posting daily life images from around the country.

The 15 year old Rūta Meilutytė, won the first gold medal for Lithuania at the London Olympics yesterday.
After a phenomenal time in the semi-finals, where she broke the European record and swam the fourth fastest time in history, she won the gold metal like a “superwoman” reported his coach to BBC “I can’t believe it. It’s all too much for me. I just can’t believe it,” Rūta said to the BBC reporter.
The Lithuanian swimmer, is at her first Olympic games, is originary from Kaunas but she lives in UK with her father and where she was preparing for the Olympics games.
“It is a great feeling! To see our city from an unusual point of view, admire the towers and turrets- it’s great fun, a memorable event for everybody, and a good gift to residents and guests alike. I am glad the organizers of the project in the Baltic gave priority to Vilnius,” said the Mayor of Vilnius while he landed on the ground.
Leaders of Lithuania’s opposition Social Democrats, Labor Party and Order and Justice party signed an agreement on pre-election and post-election cooperation at the parliament on Friday.
The agreement was signed by the Social Democrats’ leader Algirdas Butkevičius, Labor Party’s leader MEP Viktor Uspaskich and MEP Rolandas Paksas, head of The Order and Justice party.
“Considering political, economic, and social situation in Lithuania and understanding responsibility for the country’s future, we seek to present our voters with a thorough economic, social, and political program and are determined to discuss forming a post-election coalition among ourselves,” reads the document.
